Dogs and Amusement Parks

My sassy cousin Guinness, (a 2 year old, 12 pound little gal who is a Hairless American Terrier like me) is so spoiled that she argues when she is  left behind.  Yep,  she really argues! We all try not to laugh as she objects by talking to herself and walking away from the group.  So here is one for you, little miss attitude, on amusement parks.

Disneyland/Disneyworld: Now this place
is for all of us! Kennels are even located right at the entrance. Take note as it is first come, first served. I did call and check and was pretty disappointed I could not ride any of the rides, but heck, I am here with my family so you wont get a bark out of me...

Walt DisneyWorld, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and Epcot have kennel locations. Because so many visitors choose to bring their pets, these theme parks have made it easy to travel with your favorite side kick.   Dogs are welcome of course, but they also allow those strange creatures you call cats, as well as “pocket pets” like gerbils, and hamsters.  Guess what else? The Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Epcot also offer cuddle time, ice cream breaks, and extra walks for an extra charge, but I am worth it right? Don't forget to talk to them about my food arrangements and, not that I need it now, but they take care of any medication needs for a charge.  Some also offer sleepover arrangements.  Whoo Hooo!

Sea World: according to their website SeaWorld "provides a pet facility for $10 per day. It operates on a first-come, first-serve basis. We do not take reservations for this facility. Kennels are approximately 4ft by 8ft and are outside under some coverage. SeaWorld is not responsible for your pet. You must bring your own bowls and food. You may use the water available onsite and visit your pet throughout the day." So my bit of advise, Just call ahead to make sure everything is on the up and up so you do not have any sticker shock when you get there. Us canine get very anxious and excited with all the noise,  sites, and of course smells, that we will not want to leave once we get there.

    Dog-friendly Tips

Tank had been posting about his adventures and recommendations for a many years now. As a senior dog his explorations grew limited. He also battled with Canine Cognative Disorder his last two years. I am saddened to announce Tank took his last walk just two months shy of his 15th birthday.

For those who are his fans, know that he was always spoiled and loved. His explorations with us are our fondest memories.

Make sure to browse Tank's extensive archives for tons of ideas to enjoy with your best
    friend.
