I know, I know, how can an indoor amusement park have anything on those big, outdoor venues? Well, for places with inclement weather, these are a sure bet. You never have to worry if your are going to get weathered-out. So, armed with what could possibly be the most adorable group of 13 kid critics ages 4-10, including a family of triplets, the mission was to see if this activity hit all different personalities and ages. This dynamic team (and their mothers) chose a play-date at Flipside, an indoor amusement center in Gilbert, Arizona. This facility hosts a bowling alley, an array of arcade games, laser tag, a laser maze, crash pods, a blast pad, and an in-house restaurant. They chose a Thursday night with the $1.99 bowling special.
One of the things most noteworthy for these indoor places is they make a great outing for those visiting grandparents that may have difficulty getting around, or catching the kids. Because it is indoors, they have four walls around them and a great escape is a bit more difficult. The grandparents can play the games with the kids or grandparents may watch them play with a cool beverage from a good vantage point while the kids are allowed a tiny bit more freedom.
