Dog Paddling & Hiking Adventures-Canada

There is this awesome place in Ontario, Canada that offers professionally guides outdoor adventures geared toward us canine and our human friends.  With lots of area to roam and a cool landscape to explore, I plan on whining quite a bit until my humans take me. The choice of activity offered is based on the season,  so you can choose the best outdoor activity for your family.  I am going to choose the paddle boarding for sure!

Winter:  Enjoy a winter hike and if snow permits snowshoes.  You start the day with warm drinks and an energy snack.  "We will experience the beauty of a protected conservation area within a roughly one-hour drive of the GTA.  With our dogs off leash & enjoying the snow, we will explore the beautiful  forest  before 'wolfing' down a hearty, hot lunch. No experience necessary".

In the Spring and Fall They offer hiking  adventures.  "Your day will include a guided tour of the park, snack and juice breaks and a delicious buffet lunch, not to mention the camaraderie of becoming one large pack for the day with a group of fellow dog lovers!"

In the summer they offer 1-day outing up to a full 4-day paddle and hiking adventure.  This outfit has activities for all four seasons.  In the summer they have outings on the lake which is geared to having lots of fun, learning how to paddle, with your pet in tow and a shoreline picnic.  They also have 4-day adventures that include hiking with the paddling. According to their website "All Dog Paddling Adventures include camping accommodations, delicious meals, all equipment, park permits, lifejackets and  backpacks for both people and dogs, and the services of  a wilderness guide.

    Dog-friendly Tips

Tank had been posting about his adventures and recommendations for a many years now. As a senior dog his explorations grew limited. He also battled with Canine Cognative Disorder his last two years. I am saddened to announce Tank took his last walk just two months shy of his 15th birthday.

For those who are his fans, know that he was always spoiled and loved. His explorations with us are our fondest memories.

Make sure to browse Tank's extensive archives for tons of ideas to enjoy with your best
    friend.
