The Polar Express is a train that runs every winter. Normally, this train serves as the Grand Canyon Railway; however, just in time for Christmas, it is converted into a journey straight out of the classic children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg, "The Polar Express". Embarking takes place in Williams, Arizona, and all of the trains guests tour to the “the North Pole" where Santa Claus and his reindeer are waiting with a keepsake gift for every good boy and girl. Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and cookies as they share the story en-route. I have seen whole families dressed up in their pajamas ready to board the train. Just the creativity of the families and their matching pajamas is enough to put you in the Christmas mood.
In Hershy, Pennsylvania, they have a few fun theme ideas to make up a Christmas wonderland. Hersheypark Christmas Candyland has over 2 million lights, Holiday-themed rides, entertainment, hot chocolate, and, of course, some fun shopping. They also are hosting a "Christmas In Chocolate Town" which is a dinner musical.
