SteamPunk Cruise: Now, here is a cruise that truly is a
Themetrip. Steampunkcruise has teamed up with Royal Caribbean Cruise line to bring you Steampunk at Sea. Steampunk can sometimes be described as an 19th century British Victorian era sub-genre, with emphasis on science fiction, and often includes steam-powered machinery. According to their website the events will include activities such as:
"The Steampunk Duchess Of Nola High Seas Ball, the Chrononauts Parade, as well as on-board workshops and performances from well-known Steampunk writers, speakers, artists and musicians, poolside Victorian bathing suit competition, high-tea gatherings and late night great mad scientist monologue competitions". Whew. With all that action I need to take a breath.
Steampunk authors G.D. Falksen is scheduled to be in attendance. So, put on your costume and step back in time. Setting sail April 25-May 3rd, 2015 in Bayonne, New Jersey on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.
